Final plans are in process for the announcement of the World's Best Airports Airports that will take place on 14th March 2017. Skytrax hold the World Airport Awards ceremony as part of Passenger Terminal EXPO being held in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The World Airport Awards are the most prestigious accolades for the airport industry, voted by customers in the largest, annual global airport customer satisfaction survey. The survey and awards process is independent and free of any airport influence or interference in final results.

The collaboration with Passenger Terminal EXPO enables Skytrax to host the World Airport Awards at a venue that offers very clear synergies between the two events, says Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax. It provides the platform to publicly honour the winning airports, while at the same time delivering an awards ceremony that is not influenced by any third party. This concept is of paramount importance to us.

The World Airport Awards

The World Airport Awards are the most prestigious accolades for the airport industry, voted by customers in the largest, annual global airport customer satisfaction survey. The survey and awards process is independent and free of any airport influence or interference in final results.

The World Airport Awards are based on 13.02 million customer nominations across 112 nationalities of air travellers, and included 550 airports worldwide. The survey evaluates customer satisfaction across 39 key performance indicators for airport service and product - from check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security and immigration, through to departure at the gate.
