FRANKFURT AIRPORT has been named as the World's Most Improved Airport at
the 2013 Skytrax World Airport Awards held at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Geneva.
"The World's Most Improved Airport award is decided by several different pieces of survey data and
reflects the relative change in an airports overall ranking, the number passenger votes and the final
position in all applicable awards categories. Frankfurt Airport should be proud of its success in
winning the award this year with this being recognition of the improvements made to the infrastructure
and passenger experience - most notably the new Pier Z for Lufthansa flights," said Edward Plaisted of Skytrax .
Istanbul Atatürk Airport achieved a 2nd place finish with London Gatwick Airport claiming 3rd
position. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport achieved a 4th place finish with Moscow Vnukovo International Airport completing the top-5.
