The Airport Industry Awards |
|
The results are based on 12 million passenger surveys completed in a 10-month survey period, covering
over 388 airports. The survey evaluates the total passenger experience across 39 airport service and product features, from arrival at an airport, through transit and departure processes to the boarding gate.
Since 1999, this annual airport customer survey has been respected for clarity and independence, with no airport influence or bias. The World Airport Awards are the global benchmark of airport excellence, known as the Passenger's Choice Awards.

Tocumen Panama Airport once again secured the Best Airport Central America / Caribbean at the SKYTRAX World Airport Awards
held in Vienna at the Passenger Terminal EXPO.
"This is a fantastic achievement for Tocumen Panama Airport to again win the prestigious awards for both the Best Airport in
Central America and Caribbean region, and and Best Airport Staff Service Award for the Central America and Caribbean region,
both voted for by passengers" said Edward Plaisted of SKYTRAX. .
Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica achieved 2nd place this year, with Norman Manley International
Airport (Kingston, Jamaica) in 3rd. Comalapa International Airport (San Salvador, El Salvador) was in 4th place with Piarco
International Airport (Trinidad and Tobago) finishing in 5th.
