The Airport Industry Awards |
|
The results are based on 12 million passenger surveys completed in a 10-month survey period, covering
over 388 airports. The survey evaluates the total passenger experience across 39 airport service and product features, from arrival at an airport, through transit and departure processes to the boarding gate.
Since 1999, this annual airport customer survey has been respected for clarity and independence, with no airport influence or bias. The World Airport Awards are the global benchmark of airport excellence, known as the Passenger's Choice Awards.

Kuala Lumpur Int'l Airport woos its customers by winning the Best Airport Staff in Asia award at the 2012 World Airport Awards |
Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) achieved success at the 2012 World Airport Awards held at
the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Vienna, by winning the coveted Best Airport in Staff Asia award.
"In what is the most competitive region for customer service, KLIA staff can be proud of their achievement in
winning the Best Airport Staff in Asia. With so many excellent airports located within a few hours flight time
KLIA has clearly demonstrated that it is a true customer favourite." said Edward Plaisted of SKYTRAX.
Incheon International Airport achieved 2nd place, with Singapore Changi Airport in 3rd. Hong Kong International
Airport was named in 4th place, with Central Japan International Airport in 5th.
