The Airport Industry Awards |
|
The results are based on 12 million passenger surveys completed in a 10-month survey period, covering
over 388 airports. The survey evaluates the total passenger experience across 39 airport service and product features, from arrival at an airport, through transit and departure processes to the boarding gate.
Since 1999, this annual airport customer survey has been respected for clarity and independence, with no airport influence or bias. The World Airport Awards are the global benchmark of airport excellence, known as the Passenger's Choice Awards.

Hong Kong International Airport wins award for the world's Best Airport Terminal Cleanliness at World Airport Awards |
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) has been named as having the Best Airport Terminal Cleanliness at the 2012 World Airport
Awards which were held at Passenger Terminal EXPO in Vienna.
"HKIA has ranked amongst the top-3 airports globally for the last 10-years and recognition for its dining and cleanliness standards clearly indicate that
it continues to work hard to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction." said Edward Plaisted, Chairman
of SKYTRAX.
In a category that has become an increasingly important aspect of the passenger experience, Incheon International Airport secured 2nd place, with Narita and
Haneda airports in Tokyo taking 3rd and 4th place respectively. Completing a clean sweep for Asia, Singapore Changi finished in 5th place in the passenger vote.
