The Airport Industry Awards

The results are based on 12 million passenger surveys completed in a 10-month survey period, covering over 388 airports. The survey evaluates the total passenger experience across 39 airport service and product features, from arrival at an airport, through transit and departure processes to the boarding gate. Since 1999, this annual airport customer survey has been respected for clarity and independence, with no airport influence or bias. The World Airport Awards are the global benchmark of airport excellence, known as the Passenger's Choice Awards.

Copenhagen Airport wins the award as the Best Airport in Northern Europe

Copenhagen Airport has been named as the Best Airport in Northern Europe at the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Vienna.

"We offer our congratulations to the staff and management of Copenhagen Airport for the achievement in winning Best Airport Northern Europe for the second successive year. Staff service standards and baggage delivery were also particularly well rated for Copenhagen" said Edward Plaisted, Chairman of SKYTRAX.

Helsinki Vantaa Airport achieved 2nd place in this years awards with Oslo Airport in 3rd place. Billund Airport in Denmark was in 4th place, with Stockholm Airport completing the top-5 positions.
