Singapore Changi Airport was named winner of the Best Airport Leisure Amenities Award for 2011, being a world-
leader in this category. Changi Airport offers many recreational and leisure facilities for the traveller.
From hair and beauty to shower, fitness and spa services. You can unwind at the music bar lounges or with a
dip in the pool. Need to recharge? Slip away to the napping and rest areas, or commune with nature. For longer
transits, passengers can wish check in to the Transit Hotel, or take the opportunity for sightseeing on the

1. SINGAPORE CHANGI AIRPORT
Serving more than 100 international airlines flying to some 200 cities in 60 countries, Changi Airport handles about 5,400 arrivals and departures every week and over 42
million passengers a year (that's more than 7 times the size of Singapore's population). With over 40,000 square metres of commercial space, Changi Airport is also one of
Singapore's largest shopping locations.
2. MUNICH AIRPORT
With around 34.7 million passengers in 2010, Munich is the second-busiest passenger airport in Germany and ranks 7th among Europe's 10 leading airports. The airport has
its own visitors centre and is home to the Munich Airport Centre (MAC), which is a shopping, business and recreation facility located between its 2 terminals.
3. AMSTERDAM SCHIPHOL AIRPORT
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is located 9.1 kms southwest of Amsterdam city
centre. Schiphol is an important European airport, ranking as Europe’s 5th
largest and the world's 15th largest by total passenger traffic. It also ranks
as the world’s 6th largest by international passenger traffic. e airport is
built as one large terminal, split into three large departure halls, which
converge again once airside.

Hong Kong International Airport was named the Worlds Best Airport by air
travellers across the globe. A favourite of travellers worldwide, Changi Airport Singapore was a close runner up ranking 2nd in 2011. Incheon International Airport, the winner in 2009 was
also in close contention, in 3rd place. Munich Airport ranked 4th in the world and won the
Best Airport Europe title. Beijing Capital Airport continued its improvement in the global ratings, also named
Best Airport China. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport was 6th,
winning Best Airport Western Europe. Zurich Airport ranked 7th, Auckland Airport was
Best Airport Australia/Pacific and 8th worldwide.
Kuala Lumpur ranked in 9th, winning the Best Immigration category. Copenhagen Airport enters the Top 10 ranking and named
Best Airport Northern Europe. |
