Regal Airport Hotel Hong Kong scooped the top honour, not only being named Best Airport Hotel Asia but also taking the title
as Worlds Best Airport Hotel. "The location of Regal Airport Hotel clearly appeals to customers, but we also found that the
very comprehensive facilities provided at this hotel was the surprise factor for many travellers. Whilst on the doorstep of one
of the worlds largest airports, the Regal Airport Hotel is able to deliver a level of service and luxury that makes it truly

The Crowne Plaza Changi Airport was a close runner up in 2nd position and again scored very highly for its location adjacent
to the terminal building. Spotlessly clean and comfortable bedrooms combined with the tropical style design led many guests to
comment that the ambiance made them forget that they were actually staying at an airport hotel.
Sofitel London Heathrow ranked 3rd in the world and took the title as Best Airport Hotel in Europe. One of the most recent
additions to the airport hotel market, Sofitel Heathrow which is connected to Terminal 5 lived up to its 5-star rating
in terms of guest satisfaction. "This is another example where an airport hotel is delivering a top quality 5-star service
that one could expect in a downtown or resort location" said Edward Plaisted of Skytrax.
Ranked 2nd Best Airport Hotel in Europe and 4th in the world, Kempinski Hotel Munich Airport proved to be one of the star
performers, clean and comfortable rooms, a 2-minute walk from the terminal combined with high ratings for food and beverage
facilities and friendly staff service, made this hotel stand out amongst many of its European rivals.
Taking 5th place worldwide, the Fairmont Vancouver Airport was also named Best Airport Hotel in North America, ahead of Grand
Hyatt Dallas/Fort Worth in 2nd and Westin Detroit Metropolitan coming 3rd "The Fairmont drew a wide level of support across
many nationalities in securing this award" said Edward Plaisted of Skytrax. "Location is clearly a major attraction of the Fairmont,
but underlying their success were some very high guest ratings for the comfort and ambiance of the facilities, combined with excellent
levels of staff hospitality" said Edward Plaisted of Skytrax.
Another exciting newcomer to the world of airport hotels proved to be Langham Place at Beijing Airport, which ranks 6th in the world,
and named the Best Airport Hotel in China. Langham Place may not be known as a global brand, but have set their mark at delivering true
five star luxury to weary travellers, be they business or leisure, with the rooms, other hotel facilities and staff service all receiving
strong recommendation from guests.
Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport is the Best Airport Hotel in the Australia/Pacific region and also ranked 9th best in the world. This hotel
located opposite the domestic terminal stands out as a luxury facility for both business and leisure travellers. This hotel was particularly
commended by guests for the excellent standard of health and fitness facilities, and the easy links to the CBD via the shuttle service.
Intercontinental OR Tambo is the Best Airport Hotel in Africa according to the Skytrax survey results, with the nearby Garden Court
JNB taking 2nd place in this category. "Intercontinental proved a favourite with customers due to its location opposite the main airport
terminal, whilst delivering luxurious levels of comfort, together with not only efficient but very friendly levels of hospitality" said Edward
Plaisted of Skytrax.
Sao Paulo Airport Marriott Hotel scooped the award as Best Airport Hotel South America. Enjoying an excellent location just 5 minutes from
South America's largest airport this hotel was scored consistently well by guests not only for the overall efficiency of service but also
for its relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.

travellers across the globe. A favourite of travellers worldwide, Changi Airport Singapore was a close runner up ranking 2nd in 2011. Incheon International Airport, the winner in 2009 was
also in close contention, in 3rd place. Munich Airport ranked 4th in the world and won the
Best Airport Europe title. Beijing Capital Airport continued its improvement in the global ratings, also named
Best Airport China. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport was 6th,
