WORLD'S BEST AIRPORT HOTELS |

SKYTRAX Best Airport Hotel Awards are based on results from over 860,000 hotel guests that completed the hotel survey questionnaire, covering more than 194 airport hotels worldwide.
Hotel guests were asked to nominate their favourite airport hotel based on criteria including comfort and cleanliness of rooms, standard of food and beverage outlets and the quality of staff service.
The location and ease of transfer between terminal and hotel was also an important element of customer satisfaction.

The World's Best Airport Hotels category recognises the best airport hotels across the globe. This is a popular customer survey, with over 860,000 travellers participating. Hotel guests were asked to nominate their favourite airport hotel based on wide ranging criteria - including comfort and cleanliness of
rooms, standard of food and beverage outlets and hotel staff service Quality. The location and ease of transfer between terminal and hotel proved an important item of customer satisfaction.
Sofitel London Heathrow ranked 3rd in the world and took the title as Best Airport Hotel in Europe. One of the most recent
additions to the airport hotel market, Sofitel Heathrow which is connected to Terminal 5 lived up to its 5-star rating
in terms of guest satisfaction. "This is another example where an airport hotel is delivering a top quality 5-star service
that one could expect in a downtown or resort location" said Edward Plaisted of Skytrax.
Ranked 2nd Best Airport Hotel in Europe and 4th in the world, Kempinski Hotel Munich Airport proved to be one of the star
performers, clean and comfortable rooms, a 2-minute walk from the terminal combined with high ratings for food and beverage
facilities and friendly staff service, made this hotel stand out amongst many of its European rivals.

Hong Kong International Airport was named the Worlds Best Airport by air
travellers across the globe. A favourite of travellers worldwide, Changi Airport Singapore was a close runner up ranking 2nd in 2011. Incheon International Airport, the winner in 2009 was
also in close contention, in 3rd place. Munich Airport ranked 4th in the world and won the
Best Airport Europe title. Beijing Capital Airport continued its improvement in the global ratings, also named
Best Airport China. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport was 6th,
winning Best Airport Western Europe. Zurich Airport ranked 7th, Auckland Airport was
Best Airport Australia/Pacific and 8th worldwide.
Kuala Lumpur ranked in 9th, winning the Best Immigration category. Copenhagen Airport enters the Top 10 ranking and named
Best Airport Northern Europe. |
