The world’s largest, annual airport passenger satisfaction survey with 11 million air travellers from over 160 countries
participating. The survey evaluates customer experience across 39 different airport service and product factors. It analyses service
Quality for departure, arrival and transit, including terminal facilities, comfort and cleanliness, security and immigration services,
signage and directions, shopping and dining standards, staff service ... and much more. The survey is
globally respected for its total impartiality and independence, being regarded as the global benchmark of airport excellence and Quality ranking.

The passenger survey asked customers to rate the quality of
service and airport facilities across 39 key performance indicators.
Beijing Capital International Airport continued its quest of improvement in the customer ratings, moving up to
5th from 8th in 2010 in the global airport rankings. Now ranked as the 2nd
largest airport in the world for passenger traffic, BCIA secured the award as
Best Airport China in 2011. Whilst split between three terminals, passengers
particularly praised the level of customer service, with the highest ratings
being achieved by Terminal 3.

1. BEIJING CAPITAL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Beijing Capital International Airport is located 20 miles northeast of Beijing's city centre. The newest Terminal 3 building is the 2nd largest airport terminal in the
world, and the third largest building in the world by area. Beijing Capital has rapidly climbed the rankings of the world's busiest airports by 2009 it had become the
busiest airport in Asia and is now the 2nd busiest airport in the world in terms of passenger traffic (73,891,801 passengers in 2010).
2. SHANGHAI HONGQIAO
AIRPORT
Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport is located on the western outskirts of Shanghai, about 13 kms from downtown area and about 60 kms
from Shanghai Pudong International Airport. Shanghai Hongqiao International
Airport handled 31,298,812 passengers in 2010, making it the fourth busiest
airport in China. Hongqiao Airport is connected to the city's metro network,
with stations at both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Shanghai Hongqiao Airport used
to serve as Shanghai's main international airport, but after completion of
Shanghai Pudong International airport, almost all international flights were
moved away from Shanghai Hongqiao airport. Terminal 2 is four times the size of
the original Terminal 1 and houses 90 percent of all airlines at the airport.
3. SHANGHAI PUDONG AIRPORT
Shanghai PuDong Airport is the primary international airport serving Shanghai, located about 30 kms from the
city centre. A total of 40.6 million passengers passed through the airport in 2010, making the airport the
third busiest in mainland China and 20th busiest in the world. The airport is the main hub for China Eastern
Airlines, Shanghai Airlines and a major international hub for Air China. A station for the Maglev Train is
located between the passenger terminals, providing service to downtown Pudong in 7 minutes.

The World's Best Airports |
|
Hong Kong International Airport was named the Worlds Best Airport by air
travellers across the globe. A favourite of travellers worldwide, Changi Airport Singapore was a close runner up ranking 2nd in 2011. Incheon International Airport, the winner in 2009 was
also in close contention, in 3rd place. Munich Airport ranked 4th in the world and won the
Best Airport Europe title. Beijing Capital Airport continued its improvement in the global ratings, also named
Best Airport China. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport was 6th,
winning Best Airport Western Europe. Zurich Airport ranked 7th, Auckland Airport was
Best Airport Australia/Pacific and 8th worldwide.
Kuala Lumpur ranked in 9th, winning the Best Immigration category. Copenhagen Airport enters the Top 10 ranking and named
Best Airport Northern Europe. |
