HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WIN AWARD FOR BEST AIRPORT WASHROOMS
The Skytrax World Airport Awards were announced at the first live Awards ceremony in Brussels, Belgium, as part of the Passenger Terminal Expo. Attended by top
management from airports around the world, 30 different awards were presented by Skytrax Chairman, Mr Edward Plaisted.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) emerged as winner of the Best Airport Washrooms award, ahead of Incheon International Airport (2nd) and Kansai International Airport (3rd). The
Award was not presented at the ceremony - Hong Kong International Airport did not attend.
Commenting on HKIA success, Skytrax Chairman, Mr Edward Plaisted said "Such a basic and expected feature of cleanliness, and yet so many airports fail to
deliver the standards we see amongst the top-rated airports. This year was particularly close, with HKIA emerging as the winner with just a marginal victory over Incheon International Airport."

The World Airport Awards™ are based on the results from 9.8 million
questionnaires completed by 100 different nationality of airline passengers in 2009/2010, covering more than 210 airports worldwide.
