Copenhagen Airport has the Best Airport Staff Service in Europe - the award based on the votes of more than 9.8 million travellers from over 100 different countries.

The Award was presented to Ms Iben Eiby-Johannesen, Brand Equity Director of Copenhagen Airport, by Mr Edward Plaisted, Chairman of Skytrax.

Commenting on the Award, Edward Plaisted said: "These Awards are truly special, because they represent the recognition of an airport whose front-line staff service is being delivered at the highest quality level, and with a good standard of consistency. Good service is something that every traveller appreciates, and we congratulate Copenhagen Airport on their achievement in winning this award."

The Airport Staff Service Excellence Awards were introduced to the World Airport Awards by Skytrax in 2009, and are one of the most sought-after category Awards for airports to contest. "We wanted to create a truly prestige Quality Award that recognises those airports where the quality of staff service across front-line customer functions are distinguished by travellers as being over and above that of other airports" commented Edward Plaisted. "With Staff Service Excellence being a major quality determinant of passenger enjoyment of the airport experience, we see honouring of this aspect of airport service as a critical factor in today's travel world."
