BEIJING CAPITAL INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WINS AWARD FOR BEST AIRPORT SECURITY PROCESSING IN THE 2010 SKYTRAX WORLD AIRPORT AWARDS
The Skytrax World Airport Awards were announced at the first live Awards ceremony in Brussels, Belgium, as part of the Passenger Terminal Expo. Attended by top
management from airports around the world, 30 different awards were presented by Skytrax Chairman, Mr Edward Plaisted.
Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA) was named as winner of the Best Airport Security Processing award, ahead of Incheon International Airport (2nd) and Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (3rd). The
Award for Best Airport Security Processing was presented to Mr Fan Jun, Executive Vice President of Beijing Capital International Airport.
Commenting on Beijing Capital International Airport success in winning this Award, Skytrax Chairman, Mr Edward Plaisted said "Managing the security process is a complex and demanding
issue for every airport, and minimising queues and waiting times is clearly a priority for all. Allied to delivering a consistent and timely service, BCIA was specifically
commended for having security staff that are polite and welcoming, and try to make the process as pleasant and friendly as possible."

The World Airport Awards™ are based on the results from 9.8 million
questionnaires completed by 100 different nationality of airline passengers in 2009/2010, covering more than 210 airports worldwide.
