BAHRAIN AIRPORT NAMED THE WINNER OF BEST AIRPORT MIDDLE EAST AWARD AT THE 2010 SKYTRAX WORLD AIRPORT AWARDS

Bahrain Airport has been named as the winner of the Best Airport in the Middle East award at the Skytrax 2010 World Airport Awards.

Edward Plaisted, Chairman of Skytrax said "Bahrain Airport was surprised to win this Award, and did not attend the Awards ceremony, believing I assume that one of the neighbouring airports in Abu Dhabi, Dubai or Doha would emerge winners. Despite being very different in size and style to Dubai Airport, Bahrain Airport is testimony to the fact that passengers are looking for the easiest airport experience nowadays, and as a relatively small airport, Bahrain wins out in this area."
